Born on October 5, 1963, in Willemstad, Curaçao, Hans Els has a diverse educational and
professional background that spans various sectors, from finance to management.
- Education: Participated in a cooperation program between the University of the
Netherlands Antilles and the United Nations Development Programme from 1992 to
1994, focusing on development, innovation, and strength-building in island communities. - Certificate: Completed Effective Negotiation training in 2003 at the Action Learning
Business School International in Canberra, Australia. - Internship: Undertook an internship in Regional Geopolitics related to the islands from
2007 to 2009, assessing the influence of G8 countries on Small Nations Countries in the
Caribbean.
